Intent to Return Survey – Starts Monday, January 23 

Trailblazer Families - The Intent to Return Survey will be available starting Monday, January 23. We are asking ALL parents of 6th-11th grade students to complete this survey, to inform us if your student will be returning next school year. 

The survey is only two questions and will be available in the Skyward Family Access. Families should complete the survey by logging into their Skyward Family Access account starting on Monday, January 23. Please note that if you have more than one student at our school, the survey will need to be completed for each individual student.

Encuesta de intención de regresar: comienza el lunes 23 de enero 

Familias Trailblazer: la encuesta de intención de regresar estará disponible a partir del lunes 23 de enero. Les pedimos a TODOS los padres de estudiantes de 6.° a 11.° grado que completen esta encuesta para informarnos si su estudiante regresará el próximo año escolar. 

La encuesta consta de solo dos preguntas y estará disponible en Skyward Family Access. Las familias deben completar la encuesta iniciando sesión en su cuenta Skyward Family Access a partir del lunes 23 de enero. Tenga en cuenta que si tiene más de un estudiante en nuestra escuela, la encuesta deberá completarse para cada estudiante individual.

Dear North Central Families,

We wanted to remind families again that crocs and pajamas are not allowed unless we have an incentive or theme day. We will communicate those days ahead of schedule. So please make sure your child is in dress code before they leave home. This week will be a theme week. Please see below for the themes for the week.

Black History Month T-shirt

Homecoming

We are pleased to announce that Homecoming events will be held January 23 – 28!  Shout out to the Class of 2023 for advocating for this on behalf of all high school students.  We have made some changes to information that was previously communicated and understand these changes may inconvenience some Trailblazers. Please forgive us for that.  We believe the changes that have been made will have a positive impact on the Homecoming experience for all participants.

Homecoming

As games and clubs are happening after school safety, is still our number one priority. Here is a reminder of the student after school expectations:

Students should only be present after school if one of the following applies: 

• they purchased a ticket to attend an on campus sporting event
• are an athlete who has practice or a game
• are a registered member of an ASPIRE club
• are a tutorials student
• are attending a grade level event
• have after school detention

 All other students should follow their regular mode of transportation at the end of the school day.

• Students at games must remain in their designated spaces until their ride is here or their event is over
• If students are roaming or coming in and out of the gym/ game they will be asked to leave and not come back to future events.
• Students on campus after school are held to the same code of conduct standards as during normal school hours which includes being in appropriate in designated spaces and following the campus community norms.
• Students who do NOT abide by our code of conduct will NOT be permitted to stay after school for any programming and may receive a consequence.

• Senior Photos (12^th Grade)
  • Senior Photos will happen on Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 8:00 am-12:30 pm
  • Families will receive a standard package of pictures for free as a result of fundraising by the Senior Council leaders.
  • Families will only be required to pay for additional pictures beyond the provided pictures
• ASVAB Date (10^th-12^th Grades)
  • March 21, 2023, at 9:00 AM at YES Prep North Central
  • Identified students will take a permission slip home for parents/guardians to sign
  • The ASVAB Career Exploration Program (ASVAB CEP) is a free program offered by the Department of Defense that consists of:
    • The ASVAB multiple-aptitude test
    • Interest Self-Assessment
    • Career Exploration Tools
• Junior Spring Trip Payments (11^th Grade):
  • Please read the attached memo that was sent in December. Payments should start as soon as possible.
• TSIA Testing (12^th Grade)
  • 80 seniors will take the Texas Success Initiative Assessment on March 1, 2023, at YES Prep North Central
  • Students have been identified and parents will receive a letter stating which test they are required to take
• SAT School Day (11^th Grade):
  • 100% of the Class of 2024 is expected to take their second official SAT on March 1, 2023, at 8:00 AM at the North Central Campus
• Summer Programs (9^th-11^th Grades)
  • NC requires all high school students in grades 9-11 to complete a summer program
  • Students are given resources to locate summer programs, but they must apply and attend on their own
  • Students can reach out to the College Initiatives Team for support
  • Programs must be finalized by May 19, 2023

 

Fotos de último año (12 grado)

- Las fotos de Senior tendrán lugar el sábado 11 de febrero de 2023, de 8:00 am-12:30 pm.
